Strength & Conditioning Testing
We’re stoked to introduce these new additions to the P.E. group training programme. These are designed to keep you accountable, ensure you’re always engaged with your training and learning about your mind and body.
Our Strength and Conditioning tests will be:
Strength (Tuesday and Thursday)
- Max chin ups
- Max bench press (for 3 reps)
- Max squat (for 3 reps)
- Max deadlift (for 3 reps)
Conditioning (Wednesday)
- 1km row (fastest time)
- Max assault bike calories in 1 minute.
- 45s on 15s off x 3 max thrusters (all reps of each set added together for total). Men: 30kg’s, Women: 20kg’s.
Don’t be fooled! These sessions will be some of the hardest we ever do. Testing is always a really challenging way to train. We’ll spend the whole session prepping our bodies for the load and maximising each set.
We’ll be working really hard on our programming to make sure you see results every 6-weeks!

New Timetable
From April 5, 2021, we’ll be introducing a new class to the timetable. Now, before you get up in arms about the slightly earlier start time, we’ve added this class, so you don’t always have to be on a wait list! We’re popular, we get it 😉.
MONDAY TO FRIDAY
- Morning classes
- 5:20am – 6:10am
- 6:10am – 7:00am
- 7:00am – 7:50am
- 8:05am – 8:40am
- Evenning classes
- 5:30pm - 6:20pm
- 6:20pm - 7:10pm
Times include our 5 minute stretch and cool down which is optional. So if you need to duck off to work at the later sessions, that’s totally fine.
Smaller Classes
There are a few things that we are really passionate about here at P.E. One of them is you, our members, and another is delivering the best service possible. To achieve this, we have reduced our class size down to 12 members per session. There is no need to worry, we’ve added an extra session and our capacity per day has actually increased!
With only 12 participants, we can guarantee a level of service within a session that is unmatched anywhere (except for PT).
Our shift is in line with our goal to ensure we put 100% of our focus on a smaller membership base, rather than filling the gaps with a huge membership base that we lose touch with.
Group Training Manager
This week, we introduced Charlie to the coaching team. Charlie brings a wealth of experience from London to P.E. and we cannot wait to see what he can deliver in his classes!
Charlie is our newly appointed Group Training Manager and will be your one stop shop for all questions, assistance and feedback. Over the next few weeks, Charlie will continue to integrate into the team and by April 5 he’ll be in full swing.
Running Club
Wednesday 6:30am
Rushcutters Bay
12-week training program
All levels are welcome
Running is pure heroin. That’s a slight over exaggeration, but you get the idea. Our run club is open to all members, no matter your fitness level.
We will be meeting at Rushcutters bay at 6:30am every Wednesday morning to train in a variety of different running forms. We’ll be doing long slow runs, fast short runs, sprints, intervals, hills and more.
Because we believe that training for a goal is crucial in running, we’ll be joining different events throughout the year and training up for them. Our first event is going to be the Sydney Striders 10k on July 3. This gives all runners 12 weeks to train for the race.
Throughout the 12 weeks, we will provide a training program so you can run between gym sessions with a plan!
As mentioned, ALL LEVELS are invited to join. There is no such thing as a non-runner 😉
A P.E. Run Club FB page will be created so we can communicate and plan runs together. Booking for runs can be made via the app.
